After nearly 40 years, the choice of movies from Circle Eight's library of local interest films is now extensive and these films can be hired - along with projection equipment and an operator - by any local society or organisation. Groups booking Circle Eight shows regularly include Women's Institutes, Townswomens' Guilds, Retirement Associations, Disabled Groups and local firms and businesses.

Each film is listed complete with a brief outline and running time. We recommend a running time of not more than one-and-a-half hours.

You are welcome to select your own programme, or, alternatively, we will be pleased to compile one on your behalf. In the latter case, an indication of the age range and interests of the audience will be helpful.

We regret that because much of the material is original film we are unable to hire out films without our own projectionists and equipment. We may use either film or video projection equipment.

Grandads Guildford

Grandad's Guildford

This new item we mention here for completeness but not as a routinely available. Grandad's Guildford is a video based lecture of unique photographs showing Guildford town between the years 1850 and 1960, with accompanying commentary by the author, Terence Patrick. Thus its availability depends on all the logistics of a 'live' presentation and it would only be viable if a suitably large and enthusiastic audience were assured. Our special charge for this presentation is £150.

Circle Eight have successfully presented it as a public show on several occasions at local venues and will no doubt do so again, so watch the local press!. This lecture version was re-created in 2006.
