It took nearly 40 years to build Guildford Cathedral from the founding of the Diocese of Guildford in 1927 to its consecration in 1961. With the use of rare archive film, Circle Eight tells the story of problems, delays and triumphs behind the construction of one of Guildford’s most magnificent buildings. The film also includes coverage of the events to celebrate the Cathedral’s Silver Jubilee in 1986 and Golden Jubilee in 2011.
